Sewage Disposal
The Forsyth County Environmental Health Land Use Section is responsible for the issuance of on-site sewage management system permits (septic tanks) and final inspection of systems. If you plan to build or remodel a home or if you want to put a building or pool on your property that is served by a septic system you will have to get approval from the environmental health department before you can obtain a building permit. The following forms are available for download, you can email us the completed application and any required documents and call in a credit payment if needed. Please note that it may take twenty business days or more to process an application or review.
New Septic Application - Fee 7 rooms or less is $300.00, 8 rooms or more is $500.00, contact us for determination
Septic Repair Application - Fee $100.00 residential, commercial $200.00
Remodel or Addition Application - Fee $100.00
Pool Installation Application - Fee $100.00
Performance Evaluation (Existing System) - Fee $100.00
Pre-purchase Site Evaluation - Fee $100.00
Temporary Toilet ( Port-a-Jon) Permit Application:
